                     Our Team

Our team works hand in hand with each resident, their family members, and their personal physician to develop a customized program for their care.  We even do hourly monitoring of our residents during the night as they sleep.  Our focus is always on the overall health and well-being of each of our residents.

Our Administrative Team
Our Administrative team is made up of great people who maintain and demand the highest quality of care for our residents.

Carlene Ebisutani is our SeniorAdministrator and RN who oversees the overall operations of AHSL and WSL.  She received her Nursing degree from the University of Hawaii at Manoa.  Carlene has spent almost 30 years in direct patient care in Hawaii starting in Internal Medicine and Endocrinology but for the last 13 years has been focused on  patient care and nursing management at a Honolulu Oncology Clinic.  Her management skills, nursing skills, knowledge, experience, and most of all compassion for those she cared for, all convinced us that she would be the ideal person to set new standards for our care homes.

Jaymie Nishigaya is another member of our Administration team working together with Carlene to keep the operations running smoothly.  Jaymie is here to help residents with doctors' appointments/transportation, and family members with anything they may need help with.  She will address any of your concerns and if she can't help you directly, she will know how to get your problem resolved by pointing you in the right direction.  You will find that Jaymie's demeanor and personality makes her extremely approachable and easy to talk with.

Wendy Urata oversees all of our financials.  With her accounting background, Wendy will be the one to help you sort out insurance coverage, payment options, and help you understand our billing process.  She also keeps our home functioning and staying within the budget so we can keep our rates as reasonable as possible.  Wendy is the one to speak with if you have any concerns regarding finances.

Dr. Michael Nagoshi, MD is our Medical Director and serves as an advisor/consultant. Dr. Nagoshi is an Internist in private practice and is also currently on the faculty at the John Burns School of Medicine.  He was also formally the Chief of Staff at Kuakini Hospital.

Dr. Jon Ozaki, DDS is our Dental Director and serves as an advisor/consultant.  Dr. Ozaki is in private practice doing general family dentistry.  He is a graduate of the University of Missouri at Kansas City School of Dentistry along with a degree in the Advanced Education in General Dentistry.  Dr. Ozaki will be doing regular dental screenings of our residents at the families' request.

Our team members

Our team is partly made up of full-time members who are on-site and monitoring the situation 24/7 along with other specialized professionals who assist us when needed.  Our team members include Registered Nurses (RN), Licensed Practical Nurses (LPN), Certified Nurse Aides (CNA), a Registered Dietitian, Cooks, Activity/Exercise Specialists, as well as Maintenance Personnel.  We also help in coordinating the services of other professionals like resident's personal physicians, physical therapists, a dentist who will do dental screenings and limited treatment at AHSL/WSL, and social workers among others.
